Jazz Around Town is a new community engagement initiative by the Edmonton Jazz Festival Society. The initiative is intended to connect music fans and musicians while supporting live music and live music venues.
“We believe in the power of music to bring people together. We look forward to working with live music venues this August and throughout the year in presenting local jazz musicians in spaces both familiar and new.”

To kick things off, a number of events have been coordinated starting Thursday August 19 and running until Sunday August 22, with plans to continue year round.
Tiegan Costa
Inspired by (but not limited to) the likes of Charlie Parker and Bud Powell, Tiegan approaches improvisation with one foot strongly cemented into the jazz tradition.
